About Gamma Delta Sigma

Gamma Delta Sigma is a local sorority, which means we are unique to Lycoming College's campus. Because we are a local sorority, we currently have the lowest dues of all Greek organizations on campus. GDS was founded in November 1977 and our colors are dark blue, yellow, and green. Our flower is the daisy, and our mascot is the Delty Duck. We are able, independent leaders.

Mission Statement: Our mission is to provide a siblinghood that encourages individual independence, embraces confident and diverse thinking, and celebrates loyalty, respect and service for one another and our community.

We value authentic, powerful, dynamic, and compassionate leaders

Inclusivity Statement

Gamma Delta Sigma was founded on the principle of being diverse and encompassing many different types of people. We are committed to applying diversity, equity, and in inclusion in our own chapter and lives, and promoting these values in the world around us. We strive to be open-minded listeners and depp thinkers as we grow to understand the experiences of those who are different from us. We will consider membership of any Lycoming College student, regardless of one's gender, identity, race, color, creed, national origin, or disability status.

Gamma Delta Sigma does not discriminate based on gender identity. We as a siblinghood believe that no one should feel as though they cannot find a home because of their preferred pronouns. We are proud to announce that we accept individuals identifying by she/her as well as they/them pronouns.
